  • Reformer Pilates - YMCA One KX

Using the STOTT PILATES® Reformer adds a whole new level of strength training to Pilates. Integral to the impact of the Reformer are the springs that provide support for difficult exercises and allowing muscles to be isolated and worked more deeply. This workout takes a holistic approach to the body and utilises big muscle groups to tone and define. 

If you are new to the Reformer please book into the free introduction class first.

ZEN•GA™ Equipment

This class connects the mind and body using traditional yoga postures against the spring-loaded resistance of the V2 Max Reformer. In this class clients are introduced to the web of connective tissue that runs throughout the body. You will be taken through a mindful workout that encompasses the body’s natural rhythms. This will both develope ease and proficiency in your movements.

Essential Reformer

Essential Reformer to strengthen and lengthen muscles, developing core stability and mind-body connection. Help tone the body, build stamina and endurance as you re balance muscles and improve spinal health. Classes are mixed ability and suitable for those with some Pilates experience.

Free Reformer introduction

Our free, 30-minute orientation sessions will introduce you to how to use the Reformer. You will learn how to set it up and methods of adjusting the pulleys and straps. This will provide with enough knowledge to confidently start on a few of the basic exercises. Attending this session is a pre-requisite before booking onto our Beginners Reformer class.

Beginners Reformer

Our Beginners Reformer is a basic level class which targets the whole body. Improve your posture, strengthen your core and shape up with our invigorating, workout for the whole body. If you are new to the Reformer please ensure you have attended our Free Reformer Introduction session before booking onto this class.

Reformer and Cardio-Tramp™ Combo

The Cardio-Tramp™ easily transforms any Reformer into a unique Pilates cardiovascular machine, allowing for extended plyometric activity and increasing workout potential for all exercisers, from post-rehab to elite athletes. Transform your regular Reformer routines into fun aerobic workouts as you tone up, strengthen joints and burn more calories. Attending our Reformer Introduction and Beginners Reformer are a pre-requisite for joining this class.

Intermediate Reformer

This class incorporates more complex choreography and is delivered at a faster pace. It adds a level of complexity to further challenge and builds on benefits gained from your Pilates workout; introducing a new range of movements that further build tone and strength. A class for those who have already mastered the exercises at beginners' level.

Reformer Conditioning

Reformer Conditioning continues to build on endurance and core strength while improving the body’s stamina and agility. Exercises are chosen to activate and mobilise the joints. This powerful class ensures you’re on your way to having a strong and streamlined body as you continue to strengthen and stabilise the hips, knees and ankles. Attending our Reformer Introduction and Beginners Reformer are a pre-requisite for joining this class.

Athletic Conditioning on the Reformer

This solid, cross-training workout is ideal for those building up stamina. Sport-inspired, exercises test unilateral movement, weight transference and core stability. Complement your current exercise routine with the versatility of the Reformer to strengthen your core and challenge the body's power, strength and agility. Attending a Beginners Reformer class is a pre-requisite to joining.

Tower & Reformer

Enjoy new angles of resistance as you perform exercises from the Cadillac repertoire on the vertical frame. The Reformer will build a strong foundation with spring resistance to help tone, strengthen arms, legs and focus on torso stability. Add variety to your workout with this essential level workout designed to increase body awareness, increase flexibility, mobility and achieve full-body strength and agility while stabilizing hip and shoulder muscles.
